Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how FF-Detector (“we,” “us,” “our”), the operator of Face Features Detector (facefeaturesdetector.com), handles information in connection with this website.

The Core of This Policy: How Photo Analysis Actually Works

This is the most important section, because it’s what makes this site different from a typical “upload your photo” tool.

Every one of our face and feature analysis tools — Face Shape Detector, Eye Shape Detector, Face Symmetry, Color Analysis, Nose Shape Detector, Lip Shape, Forehead Shape, and Skin Tone — uses on-device facial landmark detection. When you select or capture a photo:

• The image is loaded directly into your browser’s memory.
• An AI model (built on Google’s MediaPipe technology) runs locally, using your device’s own processing power, to detect facial landmarks and calculate the measurements behind your result.
• The photo itself is never transmitted to, received by, or stored on our servers. No upload endpoint for these images exists in our system.
• When you close the tab or navigate away, the image and any measurements derived from it are gone — nothing persists anywhere on our end, because nothing ever reached us in the first place.

Because we never receive your photo, we have no ability to view it, store it, share it, use it to train any model, or produce it in response to a legal request — we simply don’t have it.

Other Information We May Collect

Beyond the photo analysis tools themselves, a few other, much more limited categories of information may be collected:

Contact form submissions. If you contact us via [contact page / email], we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email address, and message) solely to respond to your inquiry. We retain these messages for 24 months from your last message, after which they’re deleted.

Standard technical/access logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and performance purposes. These logs are retained for [e.g., 90 days] on a rolling basis and are not linked to any photo you may have analyzed, since we never receive that photo to begin with.

• Legitimate interests — for basic technical/security logs and aggregate analytics, necessary to operate and improve the site.

Since we never receive your photograph or any biometric data derived from it, no legal basis is required for that category — there is no processing of it by us to justify.

Because our photo analysis tools process images entirely on-device without transmitting them to us, we have no visibility into who is using them — but the informational content on this site (including content addressing appearance-related social media trends) is written for a general audience and is not intended to encourage use by young children.

International Data Transfers

Where any data described above (such as analytics or hosting infrastructure) is processed outside your country of residence, we rely on appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the UK/EU.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS encryption) to protect the limited data we do collect. Because photo analysis never reaches our servers, the single biggest privacy risk category most sites in this space face — a server-side photo data breach — does not apply to our core tools.
